A Tank is a player whose primary role inside a group or a raid is to maintain aggro on a monster while other classes damage the monster, heal the tank or control the other monsters around
A Tank wears heavy armor and uses special abilities or spells to mitigate damage coming from monster hits. The main Tank class is the Warrior, followed by Shadow Knight and Paladin. Other classes can also sometimes act as a tank but not as efficiently because of lighter armor and less aggro tools and mitigation abilities.
